The name “Sharafuddin School” came into existence on January 1st, 2012, when two prestigious schools merged together. Seenu Atoll Education Centre and Muhibbuddin School were adjacent two educational establishments, which commenced on the 21st of January 1980 and on the 17th of February 1992, respectively. Seenu Atoll Education Centre was a primary school and Muhibbuddin School was a secondary school. Merging of these two schools to form a 1-10 school paved new pathways for educational roadmap.

      • Sharafuddin School

      • In Sharafuddin School, we believe teachers are facilitators or coaches, using interactive discussions and "hands-on" learning to help our students learn and apply concepts in subjects such as science, mathematics, English or religious studies. As teachers move away from the traditional repetitive drill approaches and rote memorization, they need to use more "props" or "manipulatives" to help our children understand abstract concepts, solve problems, and develop critical thought processes. Therefore, the institutional policies related to teachers are framed to facilitate such positive changes to this organization.

We see our school as a learning organisation and a professional community. Therefore, special attention is focused on teachers’ work as a key instrument of reform. By emphasising needed changes in the culture of our school and the daily practice of professionalism, the reform movement concentrates on the heart of the school - the teaching and learning process.

The policies made at school level are always being revised so that they will help our teaching staff to perform their duties as instructional leaders at the classroom level. At Sharafuddin School, we regard our teaching staff highly as they form the backbone of our innovative child-centred education. Consequently, every care has been taken in policy making so that teachers are not inconvenienced.

As it is impossible to document everything in black and white, teachers are requested to direct their doubts and queries for clarification from the management.
